TNS / MySurvey Comany Background

NFO (National Family Opinion) established its first consumer panel in 1946 to help businesses and industries develop products that people want and need. At that time, the postal service and telephone was the main avenues to reach their panelists. In 1995, they took their panel online, and began to ask their consumers for their opinions via the Internet and email. In 2003 NFO MySurvey joined forces with TNS, another major market research company. This new combined company was called TNS NFO, and is now the second largest research firm in the world. Recently NFO MySurvey dropped the NFO, and now simply goes by MySurvey.com

TNS is one of the leading global paid online survey panels, accepting survey panelists from the continental United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, and Asia-Pacific.  You must be at least 14 years of age to join in the US, and at least 15 years old elsewhere. Each of the panels for the various regions offers different types of incentives, as noted above.  The specific details for the US panel follow.

Getting Started. Once you sign up to become a member of the MySurvey panel they will automatically enter you into $10,000 sweepstakes as a welcoming gesture. After you complete your first survey you will get entered into a 50,0000 reward sweepstakes.  Also, once you become a member you will be given access to access to the members area. Here you will gain access to your contact information, your reward points balance, your current open surveys, a referral page, and the rewards redemption page. Currently they our offering 150 points for each referral.  MySurvey does not have a profile's section, they use short screeners to qualify you instead.

What to expect? After you have successfully become a member, MySurvey will begin to email you short screener survey invitations when they have studies that match your profile. You can also login to the site to get more details about the survey invitation, specifically the points being offered.  Most screener surveys pay between 10 to 30 points, but many of these lead to higher paying surveys that can pay as much as 1000 points.  The screener surveys is their way of qualifying you for higher paying surveys, so it is important that you complete them.  You should two to six screener surveys per week, but remember not all of these will lead to higher paying surveys.  You must accumulate at least 1000 points before you can redeem your points for cash, and currently 1000 points will earn you $10.  You may also redeem your points for prizes. If you request payment in the form of a cash, they will send you a check via mail, which you should expect to see within 2 to 6 weeks. Here is an example of a $30 check received for redeeming 3000 accumulated points.

Our Advice: We recommend that you take as many of the screener surveys as possible, since most can be completed within 5 minutes. Again, completing the screener surveys are important, because they can lead to higher paying surveys. Also we recommend that you try to login to the members area once a day, since you get one entry a day for the $10000 sweepstakes and the daily 10000 point giveaway just for logging in.

The Bottom Line
MySurvey offers good quality surveys with fair compensation per survey. Some of the main positive points are that they give you a few points just for going through the qualifying screener questions, they have interesting surveys that are not too long, and they have an excellent referral program that pays 150 points ($1.50) for each qualifying member you refer. Definitely Recommend!
