I enjoy using the Greenfield online site. The survey’s are interesting and not too long/short and relevant. I do find however that they are pretty scarce compared to other companies I’m with. The quality and compensation is great The crediting was fast and I would like to have more survey’s to complete through Greenfield!!

  2. Greenfield Online Review by roxyranelli from United States

I have been a member of Greenfield online for over a year. Although I have not had any direct horrifying experiences with them, I can honestly say that I have had very little experience, instead. This site sends out fewer surveys than most of the other sites I belong to. Most of the surveys I receive are not for cash, but to be entered into drawings. The few I have received for an award, I did not make it past the screener. It seems that they have two many members in comparison to their offerings. Although the site, itself, is neatly designed…there is not much to do or not many ways to expand on survey completions. I don’t want this to create alot of negativity, because others have probably had great luck here, however, I just am not seeing where all the surveys are!

I think I would have given great ratings on all aspects, but I started having problems about a month ago. They updated their system, and suddenly I can’t do any of their surveys on my work computer. I am able to do it on my home computer, that is, when someone else isn’t on it. It’s entirely possible that the problem is on my end, but I give low marks for the poor customer service. I was just about written off by tech support over e-mail even though I’m good and try to do every survey (even though the payout isn’t great). I also don’t like the new homepage. Instead of choosing which survey to do from a list, it gives you the next one available only. I’ll keep trying, but I’m not far from writing them off.

Greenfield at one time was a very good survey site. Lately there survey are lacking. They are have more surveys geared to entries then they do for money. Its gotten to the point you will do surveys more for the sake of doing them then for compensation.

I get bombed with surveys for a drawing. Some of these surveys take forever to complete and all it is for a drawing. Even worse, now every time after verifying my name I get a message stating there is a problem with the survey. I have written to them several times and no response. To me this site is a waste of time.

I’m just about done with this one. Like others, I’ve received mainly sweepstakes entries.

It’s just not worth my time - and getting to qualify can be a real pain a lot of times.

I’ve cashed out the teeny bit of money I’ve earned and am a step away from just giving up on it and turning towards better sites.

Ugh, a terrible survey panel. Unless you like to waste 10-20 minutes taking surveys JUST to be entered into a sweepstakes draw, this site isin’t worth two damned cents. I find that I get bombarded with surveys, and when I mean bombarded, I mean getting flooded with a huge quantity of them. Also, using the wrong browser can cause a survey to get an error. Not recommended unless your an extremely lucky person (and win sweepstakes draws…)

their surveys are LONG! i tried with them but the surveys just kept going and i got more and more frustrated with the repetitiveness. i’d think, ‘there can’t be more to this’ and on the next screen there’d be =another= page of densely asked questions. i swear, sometimes they would take 40-50 minutes. for a sweepstakes entry? i unsubscribed after several of these. i get greenfield surveys from inbox, and they’re actually sorter than those from greenfield directly, and at least pay a buck! i’d stay far away from greenfield unless you just enjoy doing them for nothing.

This is by far the WORST survey site I’ve been on. They have surveys all the time, but they’re only for entries into their prize drawing. I have gotten e-mail invites for surveys with a “guaranteed $1-$3″ for taking it, but I never qualify for them. In fact I recently received an invitation for a $3 survey and was rejected for it without even getting to answer any pre-qualifying questions. Seriously considering ending me membership with them if they don’t stop wasting my time.

I have been a member of Greenfield for a couple of months now and I am canceling my membership. I receive about 4-5 survey offers PER DAY…however, only 3 of them have been for cash…$1 each AND I have only qualified for ONE paid survey. (That’s only $1 I’ve made.) Funny, but I DO qualify for all the surveys that only compensate by sweepstakes entries. I belong to too many that pay actual money, so I will no waste my time with this company.

I have been with Greenfield for about a 8 months now and have finally decided to call it quits. I feel I have wasted enough of my time, received nothing as far as compensation, and was completely bored. This is an awful survey site, I would NOT recommend anyone bother joining. If you do join, you will probably get tons of surveys you qualify for, however it will be for sweeps, not for money. Enough is Enough for ME !!!

  19. Greenfield Online Review by Matt F. from United States

Concerning Greenfield Online, at the moment, the best thing this site has going for it is its design. It just might be the best design for a survey site I have ever been a member of. It’s also one of the few survey sites that has many surveys available for you to take (depending on what you said in your 11 individual profiles) on the website itself, in comparison to most websites, where the only way to take surveys is if you get an email invitation. I really like that and it keeps me coming.

However, there is a problem with that. I would say 90-95 percent of the surveys are just for entering in the sweepstakes. They do offer cash for the remaining 5-10 percent of the surveys, but that’s even if you qualify for them, which unfortunately doesn’t happy very often. That said - when you do participate in surveys, the surveys themselves are usually pretty good and the payment is not bad either. The only other good thing going for this site is the online interactive group sessions. They also have a green giveaway, where you spin the wheel for a chance to win a prize. I have spun the wheel 45 times and have lost every single time. I have no further comment on that waste of time. You’re not even helping companies by completing surveys by doing that.

To close, I really want to like this site, but as every day goes by, I’m becoming less and less interested in completing surveys because there isn’t much of anything in it for me. My only hope is that I might win 100 to 2500 dollars from all the sweepstake entries I have received.

  20. Greenfield Online Review by Carrie Anne from United States

I have been with this company for a few years now. Lately, their surveys have gone somewhat downhill. The quality of their surveys are great. Unfortunately, I would say 9 out of 10 of every survey invitation I get is only for an entry into a sweepstakes, not for cash. Sometimes I get cash ones that have ridiculous compensation, like $1 for 45 minute survey.

I have had a few good surveys lately that actually paid, but this has only been the past 30 days. I think I have made about $8 for an 75 mins worth of work. Not great compensation, but decent.

They do offer many survey opportunities, but again, not many paying. So, I would say, if you love to give your opinion for sweeps entries, this is definitely the company for you. Otherwise, be choosy on the surveys you complete and you may enjoy the site.

  21. Greenfield Online Review by Jim D from United States

Original Review from Jim D, October 10, 2007

Greenfield started off strong but has been a disappointment lately. It seem about the only thing you can get for taking a survey is a sweepstakes entry. There really is no incentive to complete a survey because you get a sweepstakes entry regardless. It is a good site for interactive group sessions paying $20-$30 and that is about the only reason I have stayed with them. They have promised to make some changes in response to panelists complaints and concerns. There are plenty of surveys to take, if you like the reward of a sweepstakes entry. Greenfield is among the worst in timeliness of payment

    Update from Jim D.

My opinion of Greenfield has changed dramatically over the past couple of months to the point that I plan to close my account with them. Member support has gone from bad to worse. The Interactive Surveys which offer the greatest payout have dwindled. And they send you email invites for surveys and then tell you that you don’t qualify, which is very frustrating. Of course the bulk of surveys only offer you a sweepstakes entry for compensation. I have a limited amount of time each day to take surveys and want to participate on those sites that offer the best payout for my time and effort. Sadly, Greenfield no longer ranks among those sites worth my time.

I personally think this site is a complete waste of time. They send you about 5 emails a day. Most are for drawings that you never win. Some are for actual cash. HOWEVER… I’ve been a member for over 6 months now and click on every paid survey. I check my email about 10 times a day and by the time I click on the email to take the survey (sometimes 5 minutes after receiving) they tell you that your profile doesn’t match the survey. Or, and this is my favorite… You spend a good 10-15 minutes trying to qualify for said survey only to find out that you do not qualify. I have made zero dollars doing surveys for this company. Stay away and don’t waste your time! I have however found Lightspeed and Pinecone research awesome and yes, they pay! Especially with Pinecone Research cause they only send you surveys you qualify for, so you never waste your time and they send you your check immediately. It’s only $3 per survey, but you save some of those babies up and deposit them to your savings, there ya go!

  23. Greenfield Online Review by Ann from United States

Greenfield can be a rewarding site if you’re careful about the surveys you take. Most of the surveys here are for sweepstakes, not cash. This means that your inbox will be flooded with survey invitations offering no cash payment — I receive at least 3 of these a day, and never bother to complete them. However, Greenfield does offer a good amount of surveys with cash incentives. Most of them are for $1-$5, and I get at least one invitation for a paid survey each day. Of these, I qualify for about 10%. Several times, I have gone through a survey with 5-10 minutes of screening questions, only to find out that I don’t qualify for the survey — this can be disappointing, because you may think you are taking the actual survey when you are still answering the screening questions, so you may waste 10 minutes of your time before you find out that you don’t qualify for a reward. Another major problem I have with Greenfield is that the reward you receive for completing a survey is not credited to your account until the entire study is finished — that means you may have to wait weeks before you can claim your reward. This also makes it more difficult to keep track of whether Greenfield is actually paying you for all of the surveys you take. That being said, I have earned $25 on this site in one year of participation. If you’re looking for high rewards for little effort, this survey site is not worth your time; however, if you are willing to spend a bit more time sorting through survey invitations, answering screening questions, and waiting for compensation, then you can earn a bit of cash from this site.

  26. Greenfield Online Review by Scott from United States

I am a member of multiple survey sites and have been a member of Greenfield online for several years now. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. The vast majority of surveys have no compensation, the response time from their support people is terrible, and their surveys have major technical problems. I’m writing this review before earlier today I completed a lenghty survey (for $1, supposedly) that asked irrelevant personal questions. I understand the need for income, location, age, gender, etc., and am used to providing them. Anyway, at the end of the survey, at the closing screen, the survey had “technical problems.” “Internet explorer is unable to open the web page.” So my account wasn’t credited. I was stupid enough to take the survey again later, and, guess what? Yep, same problem. I e-mailed them and, guess what? No response. AVOID THEM. I’ve taken my last survey from Greenfield.

  31. Greenfield Online Review by Roger from Canada

    Original Post (11/5/2008)
I’ve had 3 surveys in 2 days and although no cash, they were sweepstake entries given to my account. Thing that struck me was their support - register would not accept my postal code. I sent them an email and within 30 minutes I had a response and the problem was fixed almost immediately. Was impressed with this reaction time and supports a feeling of legitimacy for the sight.

    Update (11/13/2008)

Whatever negatives I’d heard about their service response seems to have been corrected. I had a problem logging into one of their survey requests and contacted them. The rewards to the contest were only sweepstake entries, but even though I missed out on that particular survey, they gave me the entry reward anyway which I thouht was pretty good of them. And their response to my complaint was quick.

I will describe my experience with them as unsatisfying. They send “catchy” incentive for which you do not usually qualify. I only qualified for one 2$ survey in 8 month, and they never paid. I am a member of another survey panel instead, that sends out surveys from greenfield with very nice incentives. Who manages this website is not doing a good job, because for now I reject to complete their “qualifying surveys”.

I joined this “paid” survey site over a year ago. Many of the surveys offer no cash incentive, only sweepstakes entries. About 85% of the time I access a “paid” survey, the site asks “Are you…” and shows my name. When I answer “yes”, I immediately receive a message that I do not qualify for the survey. 35. Greenfield Online Review by Larry Shelton from United States

I joined Greenfield Online Surveys about May of last year. I have made close to a hundred dollars, which has been paid mostly to my paypal account. One of the best survey sites in my opinion, offers either the ability to receive a check or paypal. Checks have always been legitimate and have cleared.Surveys do not always offer a cash incentive, but when they are offered they are quite literally well worth the effort and time filling them out. Incentive cash wise varies from 1.00 to 25.00. Not bad for simply telling your idea about a product, idea, or whatever other information they seek.
I choose paypal because its so much easier to resend it.Do yourself a favor and join this great survey site. You might not get rich, but it does pay.

  36. Greenfield Online Review by Debra from United States

I became a member of GF in August 2007. This was the first paying survey site I joined. I am very pleased with this site and the money I have received (over $200 in 2008) and continue to make money. Sure you take a lot of surveys for sweeps only. I can’t tell you the times I started a survey that stated sweeps only and it actually turned into an interactive, which are paid anywhere from $20 and up and sometimes you get a product test. Just reasonly I got an email that stated 75 minutes for a sweeps and at first I thought no way, but decided to go ahead and take it. Ten minutes into the survey it turned out to be an interactive for January 14th. for $25. My point is you never know what lies ahead with any survey you take. Anyone who thinks taking surveys will lead you into a full time job - well that’s never going to happen. I take surveys because I love giving my opinion and learning about new products. For those who don’t know GF has a forum with great moderaters who have listen to us about what we want. And one of those was using palpal. It took a few months for them to make all the changes, but they did it and it is working great. So any of you who take surveys thru GF and haven’t join the forum you should. There are a lot of great people there and we have a great time. If you really give GF a chance you might be surprised. They’re getting better every day.

    Update 1/11/2009

Greenfield is an excellent company. They are very honest and never emply that taking surveys will lead into a full time job. And beleive me I have investagated sites that claim you can make thousands of dollars a month. This is just not true. If you pay to join a site then you most likely got ripped off and will never get the money back not to mention all the scam emails you will receive. The most important thing to remember the honest paying site are FREE. The surveypolice.com website has been a great source for me in finding survey sites that are honest companies. They list so many sites that are free to join with ratings that help you decide if you want to become a member. I also belong to survival guide to online surveys and it too is a great site. The important thing to remember is you will not make a living a taking surveys. It’s a great way to voice your opinions ranging from the type of foods you like or dislike and finding out about new products from well know brand and being able to receive a product test and giving your opinion as to wheather it was good or bad. Learning new ways you might want to invest for your retirement. Taking surveys is a great way to expand your knowledge on the economy, wellness programs that you might not othersise here about. I find surveys to be an awarding experience and love to give my opinions. It’s like an education free of charge and staying on top of what is going on in our world. And if it’s a topic you’re not interested in you don’t have to take it and my sites, especilly Greenfield is an great place to start. But you must remember you have got to have patients because surveys can be quite long. I think of it as a hobby thats free of charge and we don’t get much for free these days.

if I could rate it lower I would they sent me a survey invite saying g uaranteed $3.00 for completing survey which I did qualify for and in the middle of it they had technical problems and told me to finish later. When I went back later I had to start from the begining again and again they cut it short thanking me for participating and entered me in sweepstakes instead of giving me promised $3.00 It was than that I unsubscribed

I stumbled across an article last September discussing the acquisition of Greenfield Online by Microsfot that reminded me I had joined the panel in December, 2007. I finally got around to reactivating my account 12/03/2008 , did several paying surveys ($7.00) and decided to follow thru with the invites for a few weeks curious as to the earning potential. 12/10/2008 I completed a $50.00 interactive Invoke session (received payment 12/27/2008 via PayPal) and at the end of two weeks, 12/17/2008 had earned $98.00. The following month was a bit cold but it has picked up again recently. I can’t help but think that the change in ownership is the reason for all of the positive changes in the panel. My personal experience has been excellent with prompt responses to any questions or concerns from the staff and payments that exceeded my expectations. If you have been a member in the past now might be the time to “dip a toe” back in and score some bucks online. Make sure to check out the Forum as they have some well seasoned and kind hearted folks there always looking to help out their fellow members.

I have been a member of Greenfield for about a year. Since I started i have seen things improve. They now pay by PayPal and that has speeded up payments - I sometimes get paid within a day of cashing out. Sure they do a lot of sweepstakes surveys, but there are good money earners in there too and I for one am happy.

I marked terrible for each as I have never made it past the screen to ever get credit for taking the survey. I have to say I just joined and I have taken 5 surveys only to spend about 5 - 10 minutes on each for it to turn around and tell me that i did not qualify but i have been entered in the sweepstakes. I belong to two other and yes once in a while i do not qualify but that is usually 1 in 10 taken. This is a waste of time just like most of the other reviews on her say. Take my word don’t waste your time I read two other reviews that have been members for 2 years and have only received 5 dollars. Your time is worth more than that. DON’T JOIN!! unless you like to do things for nothing.

I’ve been with Greenfield off and on for nearly 11 years. They send out more surey opportunites than any other site I use. Paying surveys are few and far between, but that’s the same nearly every where. I like Greenfield. Whenever I’ve had a problem their customer service has been more than helpful. And, I’ve never had any problem receiving money earned. I check their site nearly every day and I would recommend them to anyone who loves giving their opinion.

I’ve been a member for about 6 months. Most surveys are sweepstake entries only and very few are paid. I get several survey offers daily, but most seem to be too long with no compensation. They advertise that they are the #1 paid survey company but I don’t see it.

Paying surveys are very rare. Long surveys for useless raffle tickets that no one seems to win are the norm. Most of the membership are getting very tired of this lack of appreciation and lack of rewards. Unless you like talking about the weather or reading jokes the members forum is a waste of space. I have been a member for over 3 years.

This so far is not the #1 paid site as they claim IMO. Sure they send you alot of surveys but too many of them are for a sweepstake entry. The ones that offer cash are not easy to qualify for and not more than a couple bucks usually. At least they offer Paypal when you have something to cash out.

Kinda disappointed with them so far but I’ll wait and see if things improve before leaving.

I don’t know why nobody talks of Greenfield anymore. To me Greenfieldonline is the best paying Survey Panel in the whole Survey World, and I can never deny the fact that this Panel has paid me the most money in the last one year and 3 months. Also, Greenfieldonline Panel is the first Survey Panel I ever joined.

I joined Greenfieldonline Survey Panel in February, 2008 and have so far earned $950 from this Panel alone, which would be a surprising amount to people who don’t believe in Surveys. I have been taking the most surveys from this Panel itself. They send me Surveys every 3-4 hours and at least 5-6 times a day. I take their surveys from the Survey emails they send and also
on logging in to my account on their site.

Every day I get many paying surveys from them. This Survey Panel is the one which offers the most Interactive Surveys which can pay upto $75 for a single survey. I have been very lucky to sometimes get to do 2 or more of the Interactive surveys and have earned over $100 in a day itself.

The money earned from their surveys do not immediately show into our accounts, but they do genuinely pay us. Further, if we have any trouble with their Survey Incentives or any other probelems they have the greatest Customer Support also. We just have to send a mail to Angela Martin at AMartin@Greenfield.com and any of our problems and troubles related to their surveys are solved immediately.

Last year I had been very lucky to get into one of their monthly Projects which paid me $45 each month for some months. They also send us lots of Products for Home Testing, as well as we can get into many Online Communities by taking their surveys. Sometimes they offer us some Special Offers which lasts for some days, which pays us $1 or 0.50 cents for each surveys we take through that special offer link, and I have earned lots from these Special Offers too.

They pay us our incentives both through Paypal as well as through checks. I would definitely say that I am very grateful to this Survey Panel which helped me earn such money, and would recommend anyone eligible to definitely join this
Survey Panel, and take advantage of it. This Panel has lots to offer and is with lots of probabilities than people could ever think of.

    5. Greenfield Online $98.50 (joined: 2008-02-13) ($98.50 rec’d)

In spite of all of the problems that Greenfield forum members bicker over about non-payments, not qualifying for surveys, not being compensated enough, etc. Greenfield offers a lot of Invoke Interactive panels and no one forces you to take any of their surveys for a sweepstakes entry. They also offer PayPal, which is a much faster method of receiving payments and they have no minimum pay out point. I only know of one other survey company that offers an active forum where you can air your grievances and where there is a dedicated moderator to actively answer your questions on a personal basis in a timely fashion. Every other survey company uses email to address disputes. Her name is Angela at amartin@greenfield.com

Here is my most recent complaint about GFO:

I haven’t been doing enough GFO surveys to qualify for anything since August 8, when I was credited for a $25 Invoke Interactive that I had done several months prior, except for two $1 surveys in August, three $1 surveys in September and two $1 surveys in October for which I was last credited on November 12, 2008.

I think GFO’s strategy is to ensure that only people who spend two to three hours per day doing their surveys exclusively will benefit from them the most. I did much better the first five months when I was getting 29-104 sweepstakes entries than now when I am averaging less than 20 sweepstakes entries per two week period and only being credited for about 40% of those.

I’ve clicked on every paying survey within the first 12 hours, but every time I click ‘Yes’ I am disqualified. I still like the forum though.

I am not happy with GFO! I had nothing but problems with them when it comes to paid surveys. I have had to keep a copy of all paid surveys in order to insure that I was fairly paid. If you don’t stay on top of all the paid surveys you have taken, you will get ripped off. I learned the hard way that GFO and any of the many other survey sites under different names are pretty much the same.

I only qualified for 1 out of 12 survey invitations.

I received $1 for an 8 min survey which is not terrible.

The best thing about them is that there is no minimum cash out and I received a PayPal payment the day after I requested it.

Greenfield Online is one of the worst online survey companies in the United States. I have been a member since October 2008 and have only earned $2 (I actually qualified for a survey back in January 2009). I do not know how other people are earning so much money doing surveys, they must fit into some particular demographic. I never qualify for surveys, every time I start to answer the survey questions, I do not qualify. Sometimes I only click my name, only to be told I do not qualify. How is that possible, I only clicked my name. This makes me think that my opinion does not matter or they just do not want to pay me or they have blacklisted my name. There is always some type of technical difficulty with their surveys. I only qualify for surveys that give you an entry for some scam sweepstakes. What are the sweepstake prizes and who wins them. This site is a waste of time. I am getting tired of answering 40-60 minutes of survey questions only to be told sorry you don’t qualify. I knew when I signed up that I would not get rich doing this, but do not waste my time in letting me sign up if you do not want my opinion. Greenfield Online is a scam company. DO NOT SIGN UP AND DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THEM.
