I used to be a big fan of Lightspeed. What they have going for them is that they do send surveys frequently. However, I have found the surveys to be relatively long when you compare it to the payout. 150 points for a 20 minute survey? That is about a $1 for 20 minutes. In addition, I have found their customer service to be completely lacking. On many occassions I have not been credited the proper amount or not received the right payout amount. When I reported these issues to “Lauren” and reported them and reported them again, I never once heard back or had the proble resolved. Despite the fact that I had been with them over three years, I have now stopped worked with them or doing their surveys.

This is a great survey site. All the surveys are quite interesting and very informative. The surevey’s are a reasonable length of time. I receive about 5 surveys a month, and i have been a member over 2 years now and survey’s still coming strong. I have been paid promptly and always on time. LightSpeed Consumer Panel is a 10 in my opinion. Customer service is great. I have had only good experiences with them. All my emails have always been answered in a timely matter! Very legit site. I would highly recommend!

I have been a member for about 3 months. I have received many survey opportunities. However, I only qualified for about 30% of the ones offered. I completed about 6 surveys which gave me enough points to cash in for $10 in paypal. I received the $10 the following day. The site has a very clean design and is easy to navigate. Overall, my experience has been very satisfying with Lightspeed and I would recommend to others.

Love the two day paypal compensation (and the 10 dollar minimum), and compensation for surveys is relatively fair (but definitely not the best). There were some big surveys I never got my points for, and tech support wasn’t great in getting back to me, however.

I receive about 5 to 6 surveys a month from Lightspeed. The surveys are often interesting and keep my attention well. The admin has been quick to resolve issues when they have risen. Payout is very quick through paypal often within a day or two of cashout. The major drawbacks I can see with them at this time is the length of the surveys compared to the compensation you receive. The surveys can often be quick long and it seems there can be alot of questions before you are disqualified for a particular survey. However, I think the fact that payments are timely outway the drawbacks. You will not make alot of money doing their surveys, however you will be paid and paid on time.

I am a long standing member and have been satisfied with the surveys. I have received some products to review which is kind of fun. I have only one complaint and it is a fairly significant one. The customer service with the exception of point redemption and earning is virtually non-existant. They may “listen” to problems on a site wide level but in my experience (and 50 or 60 inquiries) unless your problem directly involves an error in point compensation you will never, and I mean in no uncertain terms, never receive a reply. I have asked questions, reported surveys that did not function correctly, reported surveys that were off-site and asked 35 pages of questions and said I did not qualify to take the survey ( nor for points )reported inability to sign in to surveys, and reported surveys that were off-site on a website that has security risks and never once have I received a reply. This has gone on for 4 years. So as long as the survey goes smoothly, I am always rewarded my points and redemption is very straight forward. Overall I am satisfied.

I’ve been a member of Lightspeed for quite some time, but received close to 1 survey every few months. Suddenly, I began receiving 2-3 per day!! I don’t qualify too often, but when I do, the points are generous. I like Lightspeeds surveys.

The site is very user-friendly, but the one gripe I have is the infrequent surveys. It took about 4 months to recieve my first survey, which I found out I couldn’t qualify. Oh, isin’t that just swell? A couple of weeks later, another survey that I don’t qualify for either. Surprisingly, the next survey I did qualify for, the compensation was ..decent, and the survey itself was interesting. Other than that, great survey site. Recommended.

wish there was more compensation and more surveys that I qualified for.

This USED to be a FANTASTIC company to do paid surveys for. I have been with them for over two years. Now, all they offer is .75 cents for a 15 to 20 minute survey…99 percent of the time. However, the thing that REALLY bothers me is their cashout policy. It cost me $9 to cash out $60 to my PayPal account, (3-$20 cash outs @ $3 per cash out), which is OUTRAGEOUS, considering they are ONLY paying .75 cents per survey now. That means that I have to do an average of 11 .75 cent surveys JUST to PAY to cash out for ONE $20 payout to my PayPal account…quite pricey, and it has become QUITE a waste of my time!!! SURELY it costs them NO WHERE NEAR $9 to send $60 to my PayPal account! So, if you feel like wasting your time, well…it’s up to you. They USED to be such a great survey site, but they have REALLY gone downhill fast! SAD, so sad!

What a turnaround for this company lately. They used to offer at least 10 or more surveys a week, but now they barely offer 1-2 a week. The surveys are very long. Even though they may say 15 minutes, a lot of times it takes you longer than that because you cannot use tabs throughout the survey, you have to use your mouse all the time.
They do pay fairly quickly and now offer a lot of payout options. There are paypal, cash, music, movies and a ton of other choices now too.
Each time you do a survey, even if you don’t qualify to finish, you do get entered into a sweepstakes, but I have never won, nor known anyone who has ever won.
The only reason I continue to do them is that the payout is not a lot to get $5 paypal or amazon. But, I would not suggest it if you are a newbie to surveys. Too much time for the rewards. I just do it if I have free time.

I’ve been doing the surveys for some time now and I collected thousands of points and all of a sudden their system does not recognize me for logging in (although it recognizes me enough to send me invitations for surveys !!!). I tried repeatedly by emailing them to get some responce but to no avail. My advice: Have some reservations about wasting your time.
I wonder if this review will get past the “comment moderation” (sic!) censorship.

I joined them 3 month ago and I got 5$ with paypal 10 days after joining. I receive about 4 surveys/month worth between 75 points(.6$) and 150 points (1.3$). This is a good start, hopefully will continue.

Lightspeed is very active in sending surveys. I get about 5 to 10 a week. I am accepted by them about 30% of the time. Most of these surveys involve evaluating advertisements for variety of products such as restaurants, movie trailers, appliances, and other consumer goods. The advertisements come in the form of a video or slide presentation. Upon completion of a survey you receive points. These points can be used to purchase a variety of items. I prefer to spend mine on a PayPal fund.
Most surveys pay from 75 to 150 points each. Some surveys pay 500 points. It takes from 20 to 40 minutes to complete a survey. A$5 PayPal fund cost 575 points. It takes me 2 to 6 completed surveys to earn enough for a $5 PayPal fund. After redeeming the points, it takes 1 to 4 days for me to receive the transfer. Yes, it does take time to earn that $5 but the surveys are fun at times. Plus, I get a kick out of seeing a commercial on TV that I have previously reviewed through one of these surveys.
When completing a survey, Lightspeed asks you to rate the survey and to provide any opinions to improve the survey. So if you don’t like something about a survey or have a suggestion; you have the opportunity to express yourself. I only wish other survey providers had this option after completing a very repetitive survey.

Tons of surveys… plus you get paid within 24 hours of request! Awesome!

I found their surveys too long for compensation of 150 points. On two occasions the surveys surpassed 20 minutes time they estimated to 45-60 minutes. Then when it came to finishing it, there were server problems on their side and I never got the points. Their contact per “lauren” never answered ny e-mails. I am going to resign from it.

I have been with Lightspeed for quite some time now. I don’t qualify for many surveys, even after answering TONS of questions. The ones that I do qualify for, seem to be a bit long and repetitive. I still have stuck with it, because when I have some spare time, I think might as well get something out of the spare time. They pay you directly into your PayPal account, so payment is really easy and quick.

Pros: Surveys are somewhat often and I qualify for most of them. The surveys are actually interesting sometimes. They’ll be about new products and commercials. I find the memember’s area to be good: you get to see the surveys you’ve completed and how many raffles you have. Another thing I like is the variety of prizes. I personally requested amazon payment which I received almost instantly.
Cons: The compensation isn’t that great. I rated it above average because I like that the credits are instant. You don’t have to wait 4-6 weeks like some other sites. In addition to that, the surveys arent too often but they do add up.
Overall, I would recommend this site. My experience has been good, making it one of the few sites I will continue using.

Receive many surveys; have been disqualified from some. One Survey was supposed to be a $5 paid but never received payment. Have done over 30 and am building points.

Lots of surveys, for which I qualify about 1 out of 3. However, the compensation per survey is poor: 75 points ($ 0.65) for 15 - 20 min. and 150 points ($ 1.30) for 30 min. This is, by far, the lowest among several survey companies. Because the surveys are frequent, it will eventually add up. And the payout is quick: the giftcard I opted for arrived within 2 weeks, faster than most companies.

I have participated in many surveys over the last 4 months, recently went to main site and discovered that I was not credited for so much as one/no compensation. This “paid” survey site litters my inbox with surveys and seems to be bogus for some/semi-bogus for others. Go figure. Rate of compensation from the get go is obscenely low. Pass on these folks is my recommendation.

no response ever received no matter how you correspond. this is a very poor way of doing business. compensation is also not up to par with other clients.

Lightspeedpanel.com is an interesting site. I use to have problems with the reliability of the site. For some reason, it was very slow to fill out the profile surveys, though I had no problem with invitations. The problem was eventually resolved, though customer service never responded to my complaints. They may have just chosen not to because they receive so many, probably about the same issue.
Anyway, Lightspeedpanel.com awards you with 75 to 300 points for completing surveys, if you qualify. They keep a record on the site of what surveys you completed, when and how much you earned, which is nice. You can redeem your points for a variety of prizes, including paypal deposit and gift certificates. $5 gift certificates start at 550 points. It doesn’t pay particularly well, but the surveys are relatively frequent with 8-10 invitations per week, even if you end up only qualifying for about half of them.
The surveys generally last between 15 to 20 minutes. Some are a little less and I received one, though I didn’t qualify, that would have taken me 40 minutes. The longer the survey estimates, the more you will be compensated. None of the surveys are of the sweepstakes only variety, though you are entered into sweepstakes by completing profile and quick surveys. Most surveys that I receive are interactive. I watch commercials or look at ads and then fill out a short survey about them. Then, there is the standard multiple choice surveys as well. They are all mostly pretty good.
Overall, lightspeedpanel.com is one of the better survey panels I am a member of. I recommend it
