I used to be a big fan of Lightspeed. What they have going for them is that they do send surveys frequently. However, I have found the surveys to be relatively long when you compare it to the payout. 150 points for a 20 minute survey? That is about a $1 for 20 minutes. In addition, I have found their customer service to be completely lacking. On many occassions I have not been credited the proper amount or not received the right payout amount. When I reported these issues to “Lauren” and reported them and reported them again, I never once heard back or had the proble resolved. Despite the fact that I had been with them over three years, I have now stopped worked with them or doing their surveys.
This is a great survey site. All the surveys are quite interesting and very informative. The surevey’s are a reasonable length of time. I receive about 5 surveys a month, and i have been a member over 2 years now and survey’s still coming strong. I have been paid promptly and always on time. LightSpeed Consumer Panel is a 10 in my opinion. Customer service is great. I have had only good experiences with them. All my emails have always been answered in a timely matter! Very legit site. I would highly recommend!
I have been a member for about 3 months. I have received many survey opportunities. However, I only qualified for about 30% of the ones offered. I completed about 6 surveys which gave me enough points to cash in for $10 in paypal. I received the $10 the following day. The site has a very clean design and is easy to navigate. Overall, my experience has been very satisfying with Lightspeed and I would recommend to others.
This is one of the few survey sites that I think actually reach out to their Canadian panel members. They surveys are interesting, and payment is timely.I have received quite a few invites since I joined.
This has got to be one of the best survey companies out there!
I have been a member over 2 years now and i have always gotten surveys regularly and they pay well and i have gotten every payment i have requested.
The surveys are very interesting and worth your time to do them, customer is great also!
I highly reccommend LightSpeed Consumer Panel!
Love the two day paypal compensation (and the 10 dollar minimum), and compensation for surveys is relatively fair (but definitely not the best). There were some big surveys I never got my points for, and tech support wasn’t great in getting back to me, however.
I receive about 5 to 6 surveys a month from Lightspeed. The surveys are often interesting and keep my attention well. The admin has been quick to resolve issues when they have risen. Payout is very quick through paypal often within a day or two of cashout. The major drawbacks I can see with them at this time is the length of the surveys compared to the compensation you receive. The surveys can often be quick long and it seems there can be alot of questions before you are disqualified for a particular survey. However, I think the fact that payments are timely outway the drawbacks. You will not make alot of money doing their surveys, however you will be paid and paid on time.
I am a long standing member and have been satisfied with the surveys. I have received some products to review which is kind of fun. I have only one complaint and it is a fairly significant one. The customer service with the exception of point redemption and earning is virtually non-existant. They may “listen” to problems on a site wide level but in my experience (and 50 or 60 inquiries) unless your problem directly involves an error in point compensation you will never, and I mean in no uncertain terms, never receive a reply. I have asked questions, reported surveys that did not function correctly, reported surveys that were off-site and asked 35 pages of questions and said I did not qualify to take the survey ( nor for points )reported inability to sign in to surveys, and reported surveys that were off-site on a website that has security risks and never once have I received a reply. This has gone on for 4 years. So as long as the survey goes smoothly, I am always rewarded my points and redemption is very straight forward. Overall I am satisfied.
Has a good number of surveys and aren’t very long which I like.
I’ve been a member of Lightspeed for quite some time, but received close to 1 survey every few months. Suddenly, I began receiving 2-3 per day!! I don’t qualify too often, but when I do, the points are generous. I like Lightspeeds surveys.
The site is very user-friendly, but the one gripe I have is the infrequent surveys. It took about 4 months to recieve my first survey, which I found out I couldn’t qualify. Oh, isin’t that just swell? A couple of weeks later, another survey that I don’t qualify for either. Surprisingly, the next survey I did qualify for, the compensation was ..decent, and the survey itself was interesting. Other than that, great survey site. Recommended.
wish there was more compensation and more surveys that I qualified for.
This USED to be a FANTASTIC company to do paid surveys for. I have been with them for over two years. Now, all they offer is .75 cents for a 15 to 20 minute survey…99 percent of the time. However, the thing that REALLY bothers me is their cashout policy. It cost me $9 to cash out $60 to my PayPal account, (3-$20 cash outs @ $3 per cash out), which is OUTRAGEOUS, considering they are ONLY paying .75 cents per survey now. That means that I have to do an average of 11 .75 cent surveys JUST to PAY to cash out for ONE $20 payout to my PayPal account…quite pricey, and it has become QUITE a waste of my time!!! SURELY it costs them NO WHERE NEAR $9 to send $60 to my PayPal account! So, if you feel like wasting your time, well…it’s up to you. They USED to be such a great survey site, but they have REALLY gone downhill fast! SAD, so sad!
What a turnaround for this company lately. They used to offer at least 10 or more surveys a week, but now they barely offer 1-2 a week. The surveys are very long. Even though they may say 15 minutes, a lot of times it takes you longer than that because you cannot use tabs throughout the survey, you have to use your mouse all the time.
They do pay fairly quickly and now offer a lot of payout options. There are paypal, cash, music, movies and a ton of other choices now too.
Each time you do a survey, even if you don’t qualify to finish, you do get entered into a sweepstakes, but I have never won, nor known anyone who has ever won.
The only reason I continue to do them is that the payout is not a lot to get $5 paypal or amazon. But, I would not suggest it if you are a newbie to surveys. Too much time for the rewards. I just do it if I have free time.
I’ve been doing the surveys for some time now and I collected thousands of points and all of a sudden their system does not recognize me for logging in (although it recognizes me enough to send me invitations for surveys !!!). I tried repeatedly by emailing them to get some responce but to no avail. My advice: Have some reservations about wasting your time.
I wonder if this review will get past the “comment moderation” (sic!) censorship.
This is a simple site and i enjoy doing their serveys
I joined them 3 month ago and I got 5$ with paypal 10 days after joining. I receive about 4 surveys/month worth between 75 points(.6$) and 150 points (1.3$). This is a good start, hopefully will continue.
Lightspeed is very active in sending surveys. I get about 5 to 10 a week. I am accepted by them about 30% of the time. Most of these surveys involve evaluating advertisements for variety of products such as restaurants, movie trailers, appliances, and other consumer goods. The advertisements come in the form of a video or slide presentation. Upon completion of a survey you receive points. These points can be used to purchase a variety of items. I prefer to spend mine on a PayPal fund.
Most surveys pay from 75 to 150 points each. Some surveys pay 500 points. It takes from 20 to 40 minutes to complete a survey. A$5 PayPal fund cost 575 points. It takes me 2 to 6 completed surveys to earn enough for a $5 PayPal fund. After redeeming the points, it takes 1 to 4 days for me to receive the transfer. Yes, it does take time to earn that $5 but the surveys are fun at times. Plus, I get a kick out of seeing a commercial on TV that I have previously reviewed through one of these surveys.
When completing a survey, Lightspeed asks you to rate the survey and to provide any opinions to improve the survey. So if you don’t like something about a survey or have a suggestion; you have the opportunity to express yourself. I only wish other survey providers had this option after completing a very repetitive survey.
Tons of surveys… plus you get paid within 24 hours of request! Awesome!
I found their surveys too long for compensation of 150 points. On two occasions the surveys surpassed 20 minutes time they estimated to 45-60 minutes. Then when it came to finishing it, there were server problems on their side and I never got the points. Their contact per “lauren” never answered ny e-mails. I am going to resign from it.
I have been with Lightspeed for quite some time now. I don’t qualify for many surveys, even after answering TONS of questions. The ones that I do qualify for, seem to be a bit long and repetitive. I still have stuck with it, because when I have some spare time, I think might as well get something out of the spare time. They pay you directly into your PayPal account, so payment is really easy and quick.
Pros: Surveys are somewhat often and I qualify for most of them. The surveys are actually interesting sometimes. They’ll be about new products and commercials. I find the memember’s area to be good: you get to see the surveys you’ve completed and how many raffles you have. Another thing I like is the variety of prizes. I personally requested amazon payment which I received almost instantly.
Cons: The compensation isn’t that great. I rated it above average because I like that the credits are instant. You don’t have to wait 4-6 weeks like some other sites. In addition to that, the surveys arent too often but they do add up.
Overall, I would recommend this site. My experience has been good, making it one of the few sites I will continue using.
i have been on this panal for a few years now and i really enjoy the surveys and the rewards theres no B.S scam ect
Receive many surveys; have been disqualified from some. One Survey was supposed to be a $5 paid but never received payment. Have done over 30 and am building points.
Lots of surveys, for which I qualify about 1 out of 3. However, the compensation per survey is poor: 75 points ($ 0.65) for 15 – 20 min. and 150 points ($ 1.30) for 30 min. This is, by far, the lowest among several survey companies. Because the surveys are frequent, it will eventually add up. And the payout is quick: the giftcard I opted for arrived within 2 weeks, faster than most companies.
I have participated in many surveys over the last 4 months, recently went to main site and discovered that I was not credited for so much as one/no compensation. This “paid” survey site litters my inbox with surveys and seems to be bogus for some/semi-bogus for others. Go figure. Rate of compensation from the get go is obscenely low. Pass on these folks is my recommendation.
no response ever received no matter how you correspond. this is a very poor way of doing business. compensation is also not up to par with other clients.
Lightspeedpanel.com is an interesting site. I use to have problems with the reliability of the site. For some reason, it was very slow to fill out the profile surveys, though I had no problem with invitations. The problem was eventually resolved, though customer service never responded to my complaints. They may have just chosen not to because they receive so many, probably about the same issue.
Anyway, Lightspeedpanel.com awards you with 75 to 300 points for completing surveys, if you qualify. They keep a record on the site of what surveys you completed, when and how much you earned, which is nice. You can redeem your points for a variety of prizes, including paypal deposit and gift certificates. $5 gift certificates start at 550 points. It doesn’t pay particularly well, but the surveys are relatively frequent with 8-10 invitations per week, even if you end up only qualifying for about half of them.
The surveys generally last between 15 to 20 minutes. Some are a little less and I received one, though I didn’t qualify, that would have taken me 40 minutes. The longer the survey estimates, the more you will be compensated. None of the surveys are of the sweepstakes only variety, though you are entered into sweepstakes by completing profile and quick surveys. Most surveys that I receive are interactive. I watch commercials or look at ads and then fill out a short survey about them. Then, there is the standard multiple choice surveys as well. They are all mostly pretty good.
Overall, lightspeedpanel.com is one of the better survey panels I am a member of. I recommend it
I have had points that were earned deleted by Lightspeed and I’ve emailed them over a dozen times regarding this issue and Lauren has never responded to any of my emails. Of course, I’m now just deleting any surveys they send. I gather they do not value their panel members enough to respond to any of their inquiries. I’m very disappointed with their practices.
no response ever received no matter how you correspond. this is a very poor way of doing business. compensation is also not up to par with other clients.
This is one of the better paid survey sites out there. I have been a member of Lightspeed for over a year, and have claimed $70 in rewards. I receive 3-5 survey invitations per week, but only qualify for 30-40% of them. Lightspeed pays you in “Lightspeed Points” which can be redeemed for prizes, gift cards, or cash via PayPal. Keep in mind that the PayPal reward option offers a slightly lower value than the gift card option — a $5 gift card can be redeemed for 550 points, while $5 through PayPal is 575 points. Their surveys range from around 75 points (equivalent to about $.65 if you’re cashing out via PayPal) to 500 points (about $4.35). The majority of surveys I receive are for 75 or 150 points, and I usually accumulate enough points to get $5 every month. Most of their surveys take me 20-30 minutes to complete, which may to some people seem like too long for only a $.65 reward. However, their payment is always instant — points are credited to your account as soon as you finish the survey. Some survey sites don’t reward you until the study is complete, which can mean weeks of waiting for your payment. My only complaint about Lightspeed is that their customer service is unreliable. If you experience problems while taking a survey, don’t count on getting a reply if you ask to have the problem resolved. On the plus side, most of their surveys run very smoothly — I’ve only experienced technical error twice in over a year with this site. Overall, Lightspeed is an easy way to voice your opinions and make a few extra bucks. I would definitely recommend joining this one!
These surveys are such a waste of time. And to call their customer service “lacking” or “unreliable” is an understatement. They’re flat out useless, not to mention ***Edit*** when it comes to “rewarding” you. I contacted them 6 times for a simple DVD that they were supposed to send. The order was supposed to take up to 6 weeks. I waited 5 months before I gave up on them. After my first contact, I did hear back from someone who told me that the order was canceled but could not provide a reason why, and he told me to re-order. So I did, and after 5 more contacts and NO response, I resigned.
I have been a member of Lightspeed for several years. Surveys are usually uncomplicated and easy to complete, although some get rather lengthy, with compensation on the low side. My #1 complaint about this panel is their customer service, or lack thereof. I haven’t been able to sign into my account for months and have bombarded them with, literally, hundreds of emails that are simply ignored. They owe me $26.75 and I have no way to collect it because I can’t sign in! Before being locked out of my account I would have highly recommended this site, but now I would recommend thinking twice before taking the risk.
I have over the years been happy with this site. However, recently I have spent the better part of a month attempting to contact Laura. I wonder if Laura is based in India just like all the service reps. Does anyone know? My first job was assisting a customer rep in the sales office of a large corporation that was very service oriented. I guess today there ia no auch thing.
I continue to wait for a response while my many points expire and the person or persons responsible for offering service continue to not reply. If they respond I could assist with some suggestions for site improvement.
Lightspeed had always been one of my favorites. It offered the best compensation in points (translated to money or merchandise) for your time. I received the rewards promised and Lauren (who I don’t think is a real person) at one time DID respond promptly to emails. However things seem to have changed and I’ve had some problems. A few days ago was the last straw.
Several times over the last few months I would receive an email invite to a survey, click the link and instead of being taken to a survey I’m taken to a page saying I’ve already started this survey and cannot participate. After this happened a couple of times I emailed Lauren, who NEVER responded.
A few days ago I received an offer of a 500 point survey, which I completed. At the end I was presented with an offer to complete part two for an additional 2000 points, of course I accepted.
I spent over an hour and at the end when I submitted the survey I found myself on the login page, not logged in. I logged in and checked my account and was NOT credited with the points. I emailed Lauren and got a reply today that made it obvious she didn’t really read my email as my specific concern was not addressed.
I’m wondering if they are going down the road of some of the other survey companies.
There’s over an hour of my life I won’t get back. So now I’m hesitant to participate in their surveys in the future.
I used to receive enough surveys to rate them as OK. I made about 15 dollars in 3 months. In July I’ve changed my email address and since then, I did not even received 1 survey. I’ve written them a few times-nice emails. No response, ever. So, guys, if you have anything better to do, just leave this one.
My experience with Lightspeed has been very good thus far. I have been a member for a couple months. I receive quite a few survey offers. Some of the surveys do seem a little long for the amount of points offered, but the more surveys you do, the better the points seem to get. The VERY BEST THING about Lightspeed is that you are able to have your payment deposited directly to your paypal account. I received my payment within a day, which is much nicer than having to wait for numerous weeks for a check to come in the mail.
I love this site! Frequent surveys (almost 3 a day) and the payout is fantastic! I recommend this!
The surveys are interesting but the compensation of 150 points(about 1.2$) for 30 minutes is not fair enough. Lately I have encountered a few technical problems, as surveys completed without a pay, a loop in one health survey, a survey where I could not see all images, Lauren never responded my emails and surveys were not yet credited to my account. So, I will rate them ase only average.
I CANT WAIT TO SEE LIGHTSPEED IN MY EMAIL…I GO FOR IT FIRST I CASH IN MY POINTS AND THERE THEY COME AGAIN I GET REAL EXCITED TO SEE LIGHTSPEED!!! KEEP THEM COMING
I have tried a few companies so far and Lightspeed is to me very easy to understand as far as thier system is concerned of payment etc. I use paypal to get my cash. There are many others offering lottery etc. This one is clearly saying what you do and what you get for it. Bart
I cannot comment on “Timeliness of Payment” as I have never earned enough to get paid. Many of your surveys indicate that I am not qualified to respond. I do not meet your clients’ criteria.
Those that I do qualify for are very lengthy and uninteresting.
Have not had a major problem with Lightspeed until December 2008. Sent an email about expired points to Lauren back in December and have still not received a reply for that. Have had a few problems with surveys recently, then sent Lauren emails, and as seems to be the case since December, have not heard back.Is Lauren, and or customer service ALIVE?
I’ve been a member with Lightspeed for a bit over a month and am very happy with it so far. It would be nice if the payment for surveys was a bit better, but they send so many invites that I earn more there then some of the higher paying sites. Members’ area is fantastic. Overall, very worthwhile to join.
I have emailed Lauren 7 times since November about a survey I completed on November 4th, for 3000 points. I have not received my points or a reply from her. It took over 3 hours to complete these surveys. I am very disappointed with them!
I’ve been with Lightspeed just over a year now and they are one of the best survey sites for earning points that accumulate very fast. I also get so many products test that I’ve lost count – not just for me, but other members of my household. Not only do you get the points for qualifing for the survey for the product test you can get up to 2000 total points after you review the product and do the follow up survey You can cash in for money or gift cards, music downloads and lots of other prizes and all you need is 575 points to cash on. Their surveys are very nicely laid out and not repetive at all. I would recommend this site to new comers who want a site that pays fast, great surveys and a lot of fun and if you like to learn about new products and be one of the first to try it then you will love this site. I just cashed in for a $10.00 amazon gift card on 1-15-09 and I have earned another 895 points since. And they do offer interactive surveys. I’ve got one for the 10th. of feb. Can’t wait. One good rule of thumb is you gotta update your profiles every couple of months (with every survey site you belong to). This really helps you get those qualifing surveys. So go and try Lightspeed out I guarantee it!
I had no idea that so many were not compensated for taking surveys!!! I email this Lauren person so many times and I still have not received a response nor was I compensated for taking her surveys! This is month number 4 and I still haven’t gotten a response!
They are one of my top 5 panels most of the surveys they offer be around 75-150 points but don’t let that make you not want to join. Sometimes they will surprise you and send a 500 or even 3000 pt survey your way. Plain in simple they have a good selection of rewards and it doesn’t take long to reach the 575 pt limit to cash out.
Lightspeed Consumer Panel is one of the best paid survey sites in USA. I have been a member with Lightspeed since April, 2008 and in these 10 months I have earned so far 20,181 points. They send me at least 2-3 surveys a week and sometimes even more. They deposit points to my account immediately upon completion of a survey and I am able to request the money or gift of my choice immediately.
Lightspeed Consumer Panel offers points for taking surveys, ranging from 75 points to 3000 points or more for taking each survey. We can exchange those points for Amazon Certificates, Paypal Money, Store Gift Cards and a wide range of Consumer products. From their points I have so far earned about $170, and still have points left in my account.
Sometimes they offer very interesting surveys including Palm Pilot surveys, Product Review surveys, Interactive Invoke surveys and offer 2000 to 3000 points and also visa gift cards for taking those surveys.
Only negative point about this survey Panel is that we can access their survey links only once and if we are unable to complete a survey once the survey link is opened, we are not allowed to access the survey again, and earn no points for those surveys. But, their surveys are so interesting I finish it in the first instance only.
I would highly recommend everybody who is not yet a member of Lightspeed Survey Panel, to become a member very soon and start earning. This is really a great survey site to join and earn money.
Good website to get stuff u want
