Payment for each survey isn’t very good. Surveys have a habit of screening a person out a lot.

I joined lightspeed and got paid for a survey that I completed and then was asked to complete additional survey – the additional survey is kind of lengthy but I have already received $10.00 as a thank you in advance from the company and will receive $50.00 upon the completion – so far the only one that has offered additional focus group studies which generally pay much more.

I have been a member of Lightspeed for 2 months.My experience with them has been excellent.By far my #1 choice out of all survey sites I deal with.I recieve about 8-10 invitations a week. I usually get screened out of half of those but the quantity makes up for it.The surveys are interesting and relevant.Compensation is in the form of points to be traded for cash,via PayPal,and merchandise.My points for completing surveys have always posted to my account immediately.I think payment is very good compared to other sites.Payment to PayPal is within a few days and there has never been any discrepencies in the amounts.So far,with a few hours of my time invested,I have earned $200.00 in about 2 months.I highly recommend.

This was one of the first survey sites I joined and I am still with them. This is a site that where points are accumulated and then exchanged for multiple prizes. Personally I always trade in my points for cash.

POSITIVES are that you get anywhere from 8-15 surveys opportunities a week. The points vary but if you qualify and complete these surveys the points do add up quickly. Most surveys aren’t too lengthy and are easy to complete. Whats good too is that everytime you get a survey invite a notice is sent to your email address. You just have to make sure you do the survey invites when they are received because if you wait too long the survey will close.

NEGATIVE: the only negative is that the customer service is HORRIBLE. A few time my points did not credit after taking a survey and I must of sent 15 emails to customer support with no response.If their customer support would respond to inquiries this would be a overall rating of 9.

If cash is what you want this is a good site but just be prepared if you ever need help from customer service forget about it.

Been with them for 2 yrs:

1) When I’ve requested redemption of my points via PayPal (received $115 to date) they’ve been extremely prompt in rewarding them – no problems there whatsoever. Have a valid PayPal acct and from there transfer it to your bank.

2) If you have a technical problem with a survey (which doesn’t happen often, but when it does) it takes numerous emails (3-4 avg over about a 1 1/2 month period) in order for them to finally fix the problem (rewarding the points deserved from the time put into the survey but a tech glitch zapped you out of it). Be relentless because it eventually pays. Is it a total pain to have to do this – yes, but…

3) As with ALL survey companies, it’s basically chump change earned for the time invested – it’s just something you can do at home if nothing else is getting you money (like a real job!). Plus, it all depends on your demographic (age/yearly income) as to how often they’ll send you surveys, the point/$ value of them, and whether you have kids at home, etc. That is the key to all of this.

22. LightSpeed $40.00 (575 points = $5 minimum payout) (Joined: 2008-04-02) ($40.00 rec’d)

I have not had as much luck with Lightspeed as others have reported above; however, they are still ranked 22nd on my list of 35 top paid survey sites, so they are definitely worthwhile.

I only receive a few survey invitations per week and usually don’t qualify for most, but they are worth from 75 to 1000 points. 575 points equals a $5 PayPal incentive. They also offer $5 Amazon gift cards for 550 points, which I sometimes get. You get entries into the $5000 Lightspeed sweepstakes, but I rarely consider sweepstakes when deciding which survey sites are best. Sweepstakes are just a way to attract new members and keep old memebrs hanging on when the frequency of and compensation for surveys is poor.

Obviously, customer service is deficient, as many other posters above have reported, but I have not experienced any serious problems with them yet.

Payment is usually timely and fair. But if you have a problem you have to email Lauren, who never answers. I wonder if there is a customer service person there?

I’ve been with Lightspeed since August 2008, and I have yet to earn a single point. They seem to be constantly having technical errors. On the occasions I do get a survey invite, I cant complete it as a screen comes up with one of their stupid error messages, which I have reported till Im blue in the face, with no effect. If this continues for much longer, I will be leaving.

Original Review – 12/5/2008
I got recently the best paid survey ever! 70$ in 3 easy parts 10,50,10. The compensation for the first part came along as a prepaid visa card with the second part(by mail) of the survey, and another 60$ visa card followed.

Last year I just loved this survey site. They have changed a lot, sending surveys for $0.75 for a half hour, or $2 for a whole hour. I have taken many surveys since late April until now, because I loved their surveys, kept track of them, completed surveys in amount of $16-17, but they have never been credited. Sent them 5 emails(none answered yet)I am still waiting until late June and I will fill a claim with BBB. Do not spend time with them for money, only if you like their surveys.

I’ve been with this site for about a year and I agree with one of the panelist, it takes a long time to complete the survey for the payout, which isn’t much. I never received anything more than $15-20 tops. I can never seem to qualify for a survey and they do have a lot of technical problems. The payout is quick I must say. Maybe if you have children or teens in your home, you might benefit from this survey site. They always seem to be looking for these type of panelists. I don’t have children living with me.

I’m really surprised at some of the points received by some of the panelists above. I never got the opportunity to receive that many points before, must be great to cash out. ha ha ha!

That’s why I joined other survey sites, so that i can cover the ones i don’t qualify for Lightspeed. You have to cover your butt.

When i first joined Lightspeed Consumer Panel, I was thinking to myself “this is a waste of time” Boy was I wrong, Surveys are usually pretty easy to complete and the items you can receive are far better than any other survey site. Ranging from paypal payments,Amazon money,gift certificates, you name it. And everything is paid through perks.com, which in a very reliable source on the internet. Do yourself a favor, join Lightspeed Consumer Panel, you will not regret it. I have been paid through paypal numerous times, almost too many to count.

Lightspeed is one of my favorite online survey sites and i have got paid about 100$ since i joined it.I dont like to take any survey reward sweepstakes(i dont believe i can win a big prize and dont want to waste my time).
At the beginning i got about 3-4 surveys a week(ranging from 75-600 points) and failed half of them.Now i only get 1 survey a week but it is easy to complete.Sometimes they send me a couple of interactive surveys which paid 1000 points or more.but those are few and far between and hard to complete them(i only success one).
I choose amazon gc as my first payment method,then the paypal.
If you want to join it,My suggestion:yes and fill up all member profiles you will have more chance to get surveys.

I have been with Lightspeed for years and never had any problems. This past month I have completed 3 surveys which should have earned me about 525 points. So far I have not received any of my points, nor have I received my entries into the sweepstakes. I have tried emailing “Lauren” 5 times, but there is never a response. I am extremely frustrated and ready to just give up on the points I have earned and resign from Lightspeed. Don’t waste your time with them.

Been a member for over 4 years. They used to be good. This past month there have been two very long surveys (one for 300 points, one for 400) for which I never received credit, and from reading these reviews, it is clear I am not alone in this. Like others have stated, this is zero customer service. This “Lauren” is either an unmoderated account, or she just doesn’t care. I’ve finally given up on them.

I have been a member since Feb. of 09. In that time I earned 1885 points which is equivalent to $15. I also comleted a lengthy lighting survey involving taking pictures,etc. I have never received acknowlegment or payment from lightspeed.I have e-mailed Laureen many times to no avail.If there was a data base glitch with their system then they should acknowledge this and not as it appears to scam honest survey reporters.

I too, like amber did the 500 point survey, got to the very end of it- clicked on the arrow to complete the survey and bam it said login not recognized. ahn’t ah. not possible. it had to recognize me in order to take me thru the whole survey. it took me 2 hours to complete- pages moved slowly and then at the end no compensation? if i don’t get it in 4 days i’m resigning also. work for free is not in my vocabulary.

i do have to be slightly fair though, i did get the $10 certificate but i’ve also been unpaid for many other “technical glitches” like this. code for we don’t want to-have to pay you.

Lightspeed is very fair, tends long, but pays on Paypal. Which is a boon. I move $10 to a bank account at least once every two weeks.

If you’re interested in a Lightspeed survey, don’t back out. You will not be allowed back in. The sitee’s religious about not getting a second bite at the apple.

Lightspeed tells you exactly how long a survey will take. I think they’re a tad cheap. Something approximating minimum wage ought to kick in.

My experience, about $10 every couple of months.

I’ve been doing their redundant, long winded surveys for several months. I’ve tried to contact them numerous times to get answers without ANY response. The rewards are very small and collecting them is impossible. The last two surveys I COMPLETED (approx 20 min each) a screen came up saying “Sorry we have already recieved enough responces bla bla bla…….” So I was rewarded nothing for my time except the points for the non existant five thousand dollar drawing. These people suck..

Lightspeed is so-so. I get a descent number of survey invitations, and qualify for a few here and there, but nothing outstanding so far. The points system is mediocre at best. Most surveys are 50 or 75 points. I have had one survey for 150. Looking at the rewards, it’s going to take me quite a while to get anywhere. I’ve only been with them a little over a month, so I assume it will get better, but not holding my breath at this point. Oh, I’ve also encountered a few technical problems with this site, but nothing serious. Just small annoyances. I’d say it’s worth checking out. They don’t spam you, so there’s nothing really to lose by joining. Maybe your luck will be better.
